PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, the digital interface of pleasure
Launched in October 2021, the new PEUGEOT 308 offers its customers first-rate innovations, starting with the new generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, which has evolved in terms of ergonomics, design, the quality of its materials and assemblies and its technology, with a brand new digital interface. The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® (compact steering wheel, handset at eye level, central touchscreen, ergonomics and carefully designed materials in the cabin) is part of the Brand’s DNA. With each generation, it is reworked and made more modern, for ever greater driving and travelling pleasure.
The PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® of the new 308 now incorporates i-Connect® Advanced, an intuitive, connected and resolutely modern infotainment system.
Located at eye level, the digital instrument cluster incorporates a 10-inch digital screen from the Active Pack level onwards. In GT, the handset is even three-dimensional. Fully customisable, this digital handset has several display modes (TomTom Connected Navigation, Radio/Media, Driving aids, Energy flow, etc.) that can be modified directly from the control panel.
From the Allure level upwards, the new PEUGEOT 308 is equipped with virtual i-toggles, which can be fully configured and replace the physical air conditioning front panel.
Each i-toggle is a touch-sensitive shortcut key to user-defined function settings: air conditioning, telephone contact, radio station, application launch, etc. Arranged opposite the central screen, like an open book, they bring a unique aesthetic and level of technology to the segment.
Increasingly advanced driving aids
On board the new 308, the latest generation of driving aids complete the range of on-board technologies, at the highest level in the industry. The result is an ever higher level of active safety, combined with even greater comfort of use.
A further step towards semi-autonomous driving is taken with the Drive Assist 2.0 package. It consists of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go function (EAT8 automatic transmission) and Lane Keeping Assist. It adds 3 new functions that will be available on dual carriageways:
- Semi-automatic lane change: the system gives the driver the option to overtake the vehicle in front and then to turn back – from 70 km/h to 180 km/h.
- Anticipated speed recommendation: the system suggests that the driver adapt his or her speed (accelerate or slow down) according to the speed limit signs.
- Curve speed adaptation: optimises speed according to the curve of the curve – up to 180 km/h.

In order to support its customers in the technological transition to electric vehicles, the PEUGEOT Brand offers a range of services based on several pillars. These are available to all users of the Brand’s electrified models – including, of course, the 308 Plug-in Hybrids. The result: greater peace of mind, for greater driving pleasure.
The PEUGEOT Easy-Charge makes it easier to access the various charging solutions with:
- A range of charging solutions at home or in the office, via a wide range of equipment: reinforced socket, Wall box, Smart Wall box, etc.
- A facilitated public charging offer via Free2Move, allowing access to a network of more than 220,000 charging stations in Europe: selection of stations according to distance, speed and charging price.
The PEUGEOT Easy-care system reassures customers in their discovery process and allows them to enjoy their car with complete peace of mind:
- New simulators and digital journeys help to discover the electric car on the PEUGEOT Brand websites,
- Service contracts and roadside assistance can be included in a single financing package, allowing customers to enjoy their vehicle with complete peace of mind,
- The battery capacity certificate at the time of servicing makes it easier to resell the vehicle by guaranteeing the level of capacity of its battery,
- An 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty.
From the MyPeugeot® smartphone application or from the central screen, you can:
- Launch or schedule, when the vehicle is plugged in, a thermal pre-conditioning of the cabin and the electrical system. In addition to comfort, this function optimises the battery’s range and the vehicle’s energy efficiency.
- Consult, schedule, launch or defer the battery charge.
Depending on the country of sale, via the “selling on line” site, a customer has the ability to buy his new vehicle, take in his old vehicle and finance his new vehicle from his smartphone, tablet or PC.
OVER THE AIR: the height of digital innovation and steady progress
Introduced on the new PEUGEOT 308, the new 100% digital update process allows the remote downloading (“over the air”) of an operating system or software suites providing improvements, upgrades and corrections to on-board programs. The practical advantage is that updates that improve vehicle performance no longer require the customer to travel to the dealership.
New applications (navigation, parking, rental, etc.) can also be chosen by the customer and sent “smoothly”: the car improves its performance without affecting the customer’s schedule.
