Cabin3Tech+: A new generation of cabin air filters. Breathe easily

With an estimated 40% of Europeans sensitive to airborne allergens and that number increasing every year*, pollen is not the only culprit. The gases and particles that make up air pollution also play a role affecting drivers from all different environments. That is why it is crucial for the modern cabin air filter to protect all occupants from harmful pollutants, gases, odours and microscopic particles that are suspended in the air.
Allergy symptoms such as sneezing and itchy eyes can impair your concentration while driving, the new level of protection against pollutants and airborne nuisance particles provides the best possible occupant protection, aimed at preventing particles and allergens from entering the vehicle.
Cabin3Tech+ is an innovative filter that will be available for the aftermarket under the brands – Purflux, FRAM® and Tecnocar.
With Cabin3Tech+ you can be sure to be protected for the long term as well as for the everyday drive and commute.
Cabin3Tech+ has 3 layers for optimal protection:
1. Preliminary filtration with a synthetic media designed to trap and retain some of the main sources of airborne allergens – pollen and dust particles (10-100 microns);
2. Activated carbon layer that uses high-quality coconut shell activated carbon that absorbs odours, and harmful gases (Toluene, N-butane, NO2, SO2) that
potentially cause headaches, irritation and coughing;
3. Melt-blown electrostatic layer that traps tiny particles, like surrounding dust, pollen, brake residue by electrostatic force of charge. Particles of 2,5 microns (20x smaller than a human hair) are retained up to 98.8%. These particles can enter the lungs and cause irritation. They are known to trigger and worsen chronic diseases such as asthma, bronchitis or other respiratory problems.
It is important to change the cabin air filter annually or every 15.000 km (max), not only to maintain a high-level of air quality inside the vehicle, but also to ensure that the ventilation system functions properly – a clogged filter can hinder the ventilation system causing fogging and decreasing visibility on the windscreen.
