Opel has opened order books for the new Corsa GSE, the latest high-performance addition to the brand’s battery-electric model range. Combining sporty performance with everyday practicality, the all-electric Opel Corsa GSE is available to order in Germany from €39,900, including VAT.
Positioned as a new-generation electric hot hatch, the Corsa GSE delivers 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque. Its performance-oriented design is supported by a specially tuned sports chassis, while the interior features Alcantara performance seats, advanced infotainment and driver assistance systems.
Opel Corsa GSE Accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 Seconds
The new Opel Corsa GSE reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in just 5.5 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating current production Opel. Its top speed is 180 km/h.
The electric hot hatch also features an active sports sound system developed specifically for the Corsa GSE in Rüsselsheim. The sound experience changes according to acceleration and speed, reinforcing the model’s sporty character.
The Corsa GSE uses front-wheel drive combined with a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential. Its lowered sports chassis includes specially developed axles, stabilisers and hydraulic bump stops. GSE-specific steering and pedal calibration are designed to provide more direct feedback and a dynamic driving experience.
Four-piston performance brakes are also available to provide strong and immediate deceleration when required.
Three Driving Modes for Different Driving Conditions
The Opel Corsa GSE offers three driving modes designed for different driving situations and preferences.
Sport mode features a racetrack-optimised calibration focused on performance, while Normal mode is designed for everyday driving. Eco mode prioritises efficiency and supports lower energy consumption.
Corsa GSE Offers Up to 374 km of Electric Range
Powering the new Corsa GSE is a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery with 51 kWh of usable capacity. According to the WLTP test cycle, the electric hot hatch can deliver up to 374 kilometres of locally emission-free driving on a full charge.
When the battery needs to be recharged, the Corsa GSE can charge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 27 minutes using a public DC fast-charging station.
Corsa GSE Expands Opel’s Electric Performance Range
Following the launch of the Mokka GSE, the new Corsa GSE further expands Opel’s range of battery-electric performance models.
With its combination of 281 hp electric power, high-performance chassis technology, sporty design and practical everyday usability, the Opel Corsa GSE brings the brand’s hot hatch tradition into the electric vehicle era.
