NEW PANDA AND TIPO GARMIN SPECIAL EDITION: DEDICATED TO OUTDOOR AND WELLNESS LOVERS

As a result of the agreement between the FIAT brand and Garmin, the global company which has been developing devices with integrated satellite technology for over 30 years, the top-of-the-range version of the Panda and the Tipo models join the already successful Cross and (Red) versions. They represent almost 50% of total FIAT car sales, and the cross versions of Panda and Tipo constitute an important percentage of the sales mix of the models: one out of four Panda sold has a cross body, with a growing trend, and one out of two Tipo is Cross.
Now the baton has been passed to the Garmin special series, a true “concentration” of versatility, technological innovation and gritty design—characteristics which are all shared by both FIAT and Garmin. It meets and fulfills the desires of a dynamic, sporty customer who is constantly looking for smart products to experience the same emotions of the outdoor life in the city, without giving up style and distinctiveness. Both models feature the new Foresta Green livery, exclusive to the new Garmin special series, a clear homage to an adventurous lifestyle, embellished with orange details, exclusive matte light grey exterior characterizations and dedicated wheels that accentuate the cross look. The same style can be found in the dedicated interiors with orange details. The versatility and modularity of spaces are able to accommodate different emotions and mobility needs.

Panda Garmin special series

Capable of tackling daily tasks with ease and style, the Garmin special series is “dressed” in the Foresta Green livery with some orange elements standing out on it, such as the line above the side mouldings, the “Panda” writing on the hubcap of the 15’’ matte black style wheels and the “Garmin” badge on the pillar. Also available, on request, the double tow hook, located in the lower part of the bumper grille. In addition to the outdoor world and wellness, the Panda Garmin customer is looking for a metropolitan style with a strong personality. For this reason, a new light grey textured matte paint has been created for the skid plates, mirror caps and side moldings. Fog lamps, LED DRL headlights and black roof bars complete the exterior equipment. The same approach is found in the cabin, where the dedicated interiors offer some orange details, such as the stitching on the black fabric upholstery of the seats. Standard equipment includes automatic air conditioning, and Radio DAB 7’’ touchscreen with Bluetooth®, Apple Carplay and Android AutoTM compatibility with steering wheel audio controls.
Also available in White, Grey Metallic and Black liveries, the Panda Garmin special series can be equipped with the Hybrid 1.0 GSE 70 HP engine.

Tipo Garmin special series

Also featuring the exclusive Foresta Green livery, the Tipo Garmin special series offers orange elements – such as the line on the side, a triangle on the front gird and the ‘Garmin’ badge on the B-pillar – and matte black details, including door handles, roof bars and pillars. The end result is a strong and bold color combination, which is further enhanced by the new light-grey matt paint used on mirror caps, skid plates, front grille inserts, fog lamp surrounds, side skirts and front and rear bumpers. The new top-of-the-range version will certainly not go unnoticed in a metropolitan context which is dominated by neutral colors. The exterior is completed by exclusive 17″ black alloy wheels with orange elements and LED front and rear lights.
The interiors reflect the look of the exteriors, as shown by the orange details on the seats. The driver can benefit of a fully configurable 7” TFT digital cluster, which allows one to control the status of the car, multimedia information, and one’s phone. In addition, the cluster is combined with the UConnect 5 radio with a 10.25″ touch screen that ensures a simple and comfortable user experience, also thanks to the wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM functions. Finally, for maximum comfort on board, automatic air conditioning, cruise control, electric rear windows, the third rear headrest, the front armrest and the premium soft-touch steering wheel and shifter knob soft upholstery come standard.
The new Tipo Garmin offers a wide range of the latest generation of Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which make driving easier and prevent potential hazards. These include Attention Assist, which detects the first signs of driver fatigue, sending an acoustic and visual warning to the instrument panel; Traffic Sign Recognition, which identifies the maximum speed permitted on the road the car is driven on; Intelligent Speed Assist, which suggests to the driver to set the speed limit; and Lane Control, which keeps the car in lane as long as the lane markings are properly detectable.
Available in hatchback or station wagon configurations, the Tipo Garmin special series can be equipped with three powertrains: the 1.0 100 HP T3 petrol, the 1.6 130 HP diesel engine and the new 1.5 T4 48 Volt Hybrid engine. In addition to the new Foresta Green, the Tipo Garmin special series can also “wear” the Gelato White, Colosseo Grey, Maestro Grey and Cinema Black liveries.
