Need a pit stop? Gear up with the new MEYLE training program
Today’s increasingly complex vehicles require repair professionals to have in-depth technical knowledge which needs to be developed continually to ensure professional repair and replacement. To help workshops master the challenge Wulf Gaertner Autoparts has revamped its training program: Choosing from four compact training modules providing expert knowledge and tips and tricks for successful vehicle repair, wholesalers can book training for their MEYLE workshop customers. Depending on the customer’s preferences, training sessions can be booked to take place at the new MEYLE training workshop at the Wulf Gaertner Autoparts Hamburg head offices, at the repair professional’s workshop or in the training facilities of the parts dealer.
Training modules include steering and suspension parts, MEYLE PD brake discs and pads, engine cooling and water pumps and oil filter replacement on automatic transmissions. All training sessions have a balanced approach between theory and practise and last from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. During the training the MEYLE mechanics will share background knowledge, current insights and information on new applications, complemented by hands-on exercises to demonstrate state-of-the-art vehicle systems, thereby ensuring repairs are carried out to professional standards.
“The constituents of repair success are spare part quality and repair expertise”, emphasises Sven Nielsen, Technical Director at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts. “Vehicle complexity is a highly dynamic process. This is why we want to share the expertise of our engineers with repair professionals. But this is also a great opportunity for us to learn more about day-to-day repair routine – valuable insight that we will feed back into the development and refinement of new products and services.” MEYLE workshops interested in the MEYLE training program can contact their wholesale parts dealer, who will then arrange time, date and place for the training session. Depending on the customer’s preferences, the training will be held either at the workshop’s premises, at one of the dealer’s seminar facilities or at the Wulf Gaertner Autoparts’ in-house training workshop at the company’s Hamburg headquarters.
