More than just parts: MEYLE and MEYLE-HD at the Automechanika 2014
More than just parts – this is the motto setting the stage for Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG’s Automechanika 2014 tradeshow appearance which will be focusing on the company’s comprehensive range of services geared to the needs of workshops and repair professionals while boasting a wide variety of new products. At the Automechanika the company will be presenting a full range of PC and CV parts marketed under its MEYLE and MEYLE-HD brand names. Featuring animations, videos and information in six different languages, spacious MEYLE multimedia pitstops are an interactive gateway designed to make exploring the MEYLE world of products a fun and thrilling experience. Another MEYLE highlight at this year’s exhibition: During the first two days of the exhibition truck racing celebrities will be adding a touch of excitement to the show.
Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG engineers, manufactures and markets premium-quality tested replacements parts for the independent aftermarket under its MEYLE and MEYLE-HD brands. With more than 17,500 items in total, the current product range caters to virtually all leading vehicle applications. The company’s team of dedicated engineers invests considerable effort in the development of intelligent products and services designed to help increase repair process efficiency. To date, about 700 parts covering thousands of different vehicle models have been re-engineered to outshine their OE equivalents.
At this year’s Automechanika exhibition the company will be showcasing the most recent additions to its range of premium-branded MEYLE-HD parts. Backed by a four-year warranty on these parts, workshops are able to offer improved customer service and build stronger customer relations – a textbook example of a win-win situation. At spacious interactive multimedia pitstops featuring touch-sensitive screens with multi-touch support visitors are invited to venture into the MEYLE world of products by scrolling, tapping and swiping their way through videos, animations and information available in six different languages.
Wulf Gaertner Autoparts will also be exhibiting a selection of new applications from the brake parts product group, including the MEYLE Platinum Disc. Coming as ready-to-mount assemblies including, in most cases, the locating screw this solution was designed in-house by the family business’s expert engineers. Thanks to the disc’s unique UV coating it does not require degreasing and is resistant to rim cleaners. Cutting-edge paint technology provides for long-term anti-corrosion protection while minimising energy consumption in the manufacturing process. At the exhibition stand the company will also be presenting pioneering brake pads specially geared to the needs of vans and SUVs. To be able to offer tailor-made solutions for these increasingly popular applications the company uses an innovative friction lining material mix designed to combine increased driving comfort and maximum performance.
Another spotlight item of this year’s tradeshow appearance will be the spare parts manufacturer’s constantly growing CV product range. As a special highlight and testimony to Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG’s CV expertise a MEYLE-sponsored race truck and team will be waiting to welcome visitors in front of Hall 5. For components required to withstand particularly high loads – such as brake discs and pads – the team entirely relies on field-proven MEYLE technology. Yet, there is more in store.
Another focal topic at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts’s stand will be the range of MEYLE full-service solutions designed to help repair professionals streamline processes and procedures, such as repair-friendly full-service MEYLE oil change kits for more than 2,800 vehicle applications equipped with popular gearbox types. The special feature: The kits come with a full set of components required for time-effective high-quality oil changes, including filters, seals, screws, drain/intake plugs, magnets and four to eight litres of ATF transmission fluid depending on the application.
At the stand employees of Wulf Gaertner Autoparts will be demonstrating how to retrieve any required information quickly and easily using for example the new “MEYLE Cat”-App, which provides information on all MEYLE-HD parts in a clearly structured an user-friendly way, including comprehensive technical data in six languages rounded out by product images. With five different options to launch article search, including vehicle or product group criteria, the MEYLE app helps repair professionals find the spares they need quickly and easily. In addition, the packaging of an ever growing number of MEYLE and MEYLE-HD parts features a QR code allowing customers to access comprehensive information using their smart phone. To support repair professionals with the removal and installation of MEYLE parts, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG also hosts a YouTube channel called “MEYLE TV”. The channel provides information on the company and presents new products along with technical videos and workshop advice for repair professionals and technology enthusiasts.
