DS AUTOMOBILES GETS UNDERWAY FOR FORMULA E SEASON 10

DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT will line up on the grid this Saturday for the first race of Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The DS E-TENSE FE23 is an ace up the sleeve of the French team: embodying the electric technology know-how of DS Automobiles.

Season 10 of the ABB FIA World E World Championship is ready for the green light! Just like last year, the first race of the season will take place in Mexico City, on Saturday January 13, 2024. Running on a shortened version of the famous Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, this opening round brings together seven of the world’s most prestigious carmakers, competing with 11 teams.

Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne (the only two-time champion in Formula E history) and 2022 champion Stoffel Vandoorne from Belgium will fly the flag for DS Automobiles against 20 other drivers on the grid.

The French premium manufacturer enjoys a record-breaking roll call of achievement in Formula E, thanks to two double titles, 16 wins, and 47 podiums, as well as world-renowned know-how when it comes to electric technology. As a result, the clear goal is to get back among the championship leaders.

The race takes place on Saturday at 21:00 (CET).

Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:

“Emotions always run high at the first race of the season! First and foremost, because it’s a huge pleasure for us all to be back together again. In the end, Formula E is like a big family: a very close community that works together to make the championship always more exciting. And then of course, because the first race always provides an opportunity to compare our performance against that of our rivals. Everyone at DS Performance and PENSKE AUTOSPORT has been working very hard over the last five months to improve our DS E-TENSE FE23. We’ve been particularly focussed on software development, as the powerplant is the same as last year. In Mexico, we get to see the progress we have made compared to our rivals. In any case, we’re prepared to work even harder in order to obtain better results than last year.”

Key figures since DS Automobiles entered Formula E:

  • 105 races
  • 4 championship titles
  • 16 victories
  • 47 podiums
  • 22 pole positions
