Sunday hosted a strategic and spectacular race. Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne, started from sixth and seventh places on the grid respectively, avoiding all the pitfalls that were thrown at them and mastering energy management to perfection.
JEV was consistently in touch with the top five and took the chequered flag in sixth place, matching his final classification in the drivers’ championship this season.
Just like the day before, Stoffel Vandoorne collected two points for ninth place. Once again, the two DS E-TENSE FE23 cars were a highlight of the leading group.
This double points haul allows DS PENSKE to confirm the progress seen throughout Season 10, with a podium finish that promises much for Season 11.

“It was the race that we expected: a hard-fought round that was very physical and full of contacts. But thanks to the talent of our drivers and the performance of our DS E-TENSE FE23 cars, we managed to score points and achieve our objective this season, which was to improve our performance compared to the previous year and get onto the podium in the teams’ championship. So a big thank you to the whole team for all the hard work, as the improvement was clear throughout the whole year. Now we’re going to take a little break and then we’ll focus fully on Season 11, well aware that we’re going to have to work even harder to close the gap to our strongest rivals.”
Jean-Éric Vergne, 2018 and 2019 Formula E World Champion:
“We can be very proud of what we have achieved in this championship year. It’s obviously a big amount of progress compared to last year. I’m also satisfied with my season personally, as it has been more consistent than last year. On the whole I think I’ve done a better job. That gives me confidence for next season as I know that hard work always pays off. Now we have to continue down this road that we have started and I’m sure that we will be able to fight for victory in the championship.”
Stoffel Vandoorne, 2022 Formula E World Champion:
“We have made sure of third place in the teams championship, which was our main objective for this race. The second day was clearly better than the first, with both cars qualifying for the duels. Once more the race was a bit chaotic but we managed to get the job done by coming through it all. As a result we scored two more points to finish off the weekend and the season.”
