The Certificate of Origin is now also available for Abarth vehicles

Stellantis’ Heritage department is proud to announce that, starting this month, Abarth vehicles produced from 2007 to today are also eligible to receive its Certificate of Origin. In yet another demonstration of the Stellantis department’s commitment to preserving and promoting Italian automotive history, Abarth has been added to a list of brands available for certification which already includes Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Lancia.

Over the last 16 years, many limited editions and special series of Abarth models have been produced, including some authentic “youngtimers” which have been immensely appreciated by customers since their launch. These include the iconic 2010 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari and 2012 Abarth 695 Maserati Edition, two models which have become legendary among collectors and the brand’s fans.
Roberto Giolito, Head of Stellantis Heritage (Alfa Romeo, FIAT, Lancia, Abarth) states: “We are happy to extend this service to Abarth fans as well, knowing how strong their connection to the brand is and knowing how much they share our belief in performance and distinctive style. Moreover, the Certificate of Origin is much more than a simple piece of paper; it embodies the history and the passion that sets every Abarth apart, while simultaneously strengthening the brand’s identity and preserving its heritage.”

Specifically, the Certificate of Origin for the Scorpion’s vehicles provides a detailed report on the car’s production characteristics, including its date of production, country of sale, sales date, exterior color, interiors, and engine number. It has significant cultural and historical value, offering the opportunity for one to uncover the car’s history via the chassis number, which must simply be entered into the online form on the Heritage website (link).

In addition to the Certificate of Origin, Stellantis Heritage also offers Abarth enthusiasts—as well as Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Lancia owners—a Certification of Authenticity, which involves a detailed technical analysis and meticulous archival research. Furthermore, private collectors can also take advantage of a refined maintenance, repair, and restoration service carried out directly by specialized technicians from the Officine Classiche in Turin at the Mirafiori factory—the same team which takes care of the company’s prized Stellantis Heritage collection every day. As they belong to the company which designed, developed, and produced these vehicles, there is no better team to make sure each vehicle performs at its best.

Lastly, Heritage Stellantis’ services also include “Reloaded by creators”, a project which involves the sale of a limited number of classic vehicles from the Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, and Abarth brands: certified historical models which have been restored to their original beauty by experts from the Officine Classiche. From discovery to painstaking scouting work, restoration, and finally the return to the market, “Reloaded by creators” offers a “complete cycle” that adds cultural worth to a car’s financial value. Because safeguarding a legacy means renewal, and not just conservation.

All of these activities which are appreciated by classic car lovers take place at the Officine Classiche, Stellantis Heritage’s restoration and certification workshop, which have been operating in the former Officina 83 at Mirafiori in via Plava in Turin since 2015. Completely renovated and expanded in 2022, the Officine Classiche now occupy a surface area of approximately 6,000 m2 with 12 hoists, specific machine tools and a line for highly accurate finishes, which includes a cabin specially designed for the painting of individual components. From 2015 to today, many Certifications of Authenticity have been issued to car owners throughout the world: from Japan to the USA, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Antigua. It should be noted that the Certificates of Origin and Authenticity have different origins and purposes, as well as a specific process for receiving them. The process for requesting these special documents from Stellantis Heritage is detailed below.
