Voted for by over 101,000 readers of Auto Motor und Sport, the Abarth 595 is “Best Car” in the Mini Cars/Import category. The Scorpion brand’s sports car leaves behind the other 12 competitors in the running for the import car category. The “Best Cars” competition included the Abarth 595/695 model family, undefeated since 2016.
For the 6th time in a row, the Abarth 595/695 model range has been awarded the title of “Best Car” in the Mini Cars/Import category. With 25.6% of the votes, Abarth 595/695 won ahead of twelve other competitors.
In the overall category rankings, which also included German brands, the model took second place.
For the 45th time, the “Best Cars” competition asked readers of “Auto Motor und Sport” to indicate their favorite cars from those on the German market. More than 101,000 readers cast their votes, choosing from 387 models currently on the market, divided into 11 categories, each with a special classification for imported cars.

The recently refreshed Abarth range consists of 4 versions – 595, Turismo, Competizione and Essesse, which offer new colors, fine materials, new style details, advanced technology and great customization, to underline the two souls of the Abarth brand: performance and style. All the versions are united by specific characteristics that underline their sporty disposition and contribute to the improvement of performance. They are also fitted with the same engine, the powerful 1.4 T-Jet with levels of output varying from 145 to 180 hp, all Euro 6D Final-compliant, the same one on which the Italian and German Formula 4 cars are based.
In detail, the range goes from the Abarth 595 version (145 hp), the gateway to the Abarth world, to the Abarth 595 Turismo (165 hp), featuring an exclusive trim level with new leather seats that are also available in the new Helmet Brown color. It continues with the Abarth 595 Competizione (180 hp), with a distinctly sporty configuration enhanced by new 17” alloy wheels, and the new Rally Blue body, a matt color inspired by the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally of the 1970s, moving onto the Abarth 595 Essesse (180 hp), the uncompromising model.
